Just outside the historic community of Fayetteville and a short distance from Round Top, Winedale, and La Grange, Dewberry offers visitors a change of scene and pace in the peaceful rolling hills.

Two vintage houses have been moved onto the property from elsewhere in Fayette County, carefully restored and updated. One or both houses may be rented for two nights minimum or longer. Rates vary by season and by length of stay.

With beds to sleep up to 16 guests (more on air mattresses), this wonderful vacation property is perfect for a family reunion or a corporate executive retreat.

The Main House has a full kitchen, 5 bedrooms (3 with double and 2 with twin beds), three bathrooms, washer, dryer, Internet and a wood burning fireplace. The Guest House, a Dog Trot style of architecture typical in this area, has 2 bedrooms (1 with double bed and 1 with twin beds), one bathroom, a smaller kitchen, and office/living room. Both houses have central air conditioning and heat, both have satellite TV with DVD.

If you love the outdoors, then you'll love the amenities at Dewberry.  We have a 2 acre lake suitable for swimming, fishing and canoeing, two smaller ponds suitable for fishing, and access to Cummins Creek. An outdoor dining area with a large charcoal grill, and fire pit provides the perfect outdoor gathering spot, and there are also beautiful fields and trails for hiking, biking, birdwatching and wildlife sightings (no hunting is allowed on property).

Besides a number of historic sites, scenic countryside and spectacular spring wildflowers, the area offers great art, music, restaurants, and a regular schedule of festivals, including the Warrenton Round Top Antiques Weekends. Some of the best fishing in Texas can be found on nearby Lake Fayette.
